Volunteer with Us
We need you!
We are now able to have limited volunteers who are over 18 and have volunteered with us before. We can accommodate groups up to 5 people.
As a volunteer-based organization, we rely on the hands and hearts of our volunteers to meet critical needs of the families we serve.
We host almost 1,000 volunteers a month. You are an integral part of our ability to change 47,000 lives a year!
Our volunteers work alongside our staff, sorting and organizing donations and assembling essential supplies.

What to Expect
The Volunteer Experience
New volunteers get a short introduction explaining the scope of our programs and a tour of our facilities. Rotating between workstations that include sorting, organizing, and packing personalized care packages for individuals and families, tasks are prioritized based on organizational need along with the ability and interest of each volunteer.
Note that our office and warehouse are warmer in the summer months, and colder in the winter. Please plan to dress accordingly, and always wear closed toed shoes for safety.
The Signup Process
- All volunteers must sign up in advance.
- Volunteer shifts are generally scheduled Monday-Friday, as well as two Sundays and two evenings a month.
- Shifts last 2 hours, unless otherwise noted on the calendar.
- Children 6 and older are welcome to volunteer. Ages 6-11 must have a guardian present.
How to Volunteer
Individuals & Families
(Children 6 and above)
We love having individuals and whole families volunteer with us! We happily welcome children 6 and above.
(Groups of 35 people or less)
Bring your corporate, school or
community group for a day of service! This is an excellent team-building activity that allows your group to work together while giving back.
Groups may commit to one shift or an entire day of service. Groups can bring in lunch from local spots; staff is happy to give recommendations.
Group Leaders: Reserve all of your team spots now.
Internships, Teen Ambassadors, and Junior Ambassadors
We have ongoing structured programs for college, high school, and middle school students.
