Corporate, School, and Community Groups
Corporate, business, community, and school groups visit Mitzvah Circle Foundation to volunteer and engage in meaningful, uplifting service.
As a volunteer-based organization, we rely on the hands and hearts of members of our communities to sort and organize donations and assemble essential supplies.
These personalized boxes of necessities go directly to people struggling with poverty, crisis, serious illness and homelessness, helping to break the cycle of poverty and give people what they need to move forward.
Mitzvah Circle Foundation can accommodate groups up to 45 people.
Visits last between 2 and 4 hours, and can be scheduled on Monday–Thursday 8:30 AM–2:30 PM, Friday 9 AM–12 PM, Sundays and evenings by appointment.
Groups also support our mission through donations and sponsorships. Email Rachel@mitzvahcircle.org for more information.
When new volunteers visit Mitzvah Circle Foundation, they participate in a short introduction in our Classroom4Good that explains the scope of our programs. We discuss what living without basic necessities means, providing a context for our mission.
Following this 15 minute discussion, volunteers will receive a tour of the facilities and then get to work!
Visitors will rotate between various workstations that include sorting, organizing, and packing for individuals and families. Volunteers are guided by staff or lead volunteers.
The warehouse is chillier than our office in the winter and warmer in the summer. Dress accordingly, wearing closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing.
Groups can use our Classroom4Good space to eat breakfast or lunch, which can be brought into our facility. Look at local Harleysville and Towamencin restaurants on Yelp.com to see who delivers and let us know you’ll be bringing food.
To organize a group volunteer activity please contact Liz Cleary, our Volunteer Manager at Liz@mitzvahcircle.org.
