Partnerships — Kathryn R. Tyler Neighborhood Center

Kathryn R. Tyler Center

The Kathryn R. Tyler Neighborhood Center began in a High School basement in Glenville, Ohio in 1949. The mission of this Neighborhood Center is to improve the lives of individuals and families and to strengthen the community by meeting the needs of the residents. Mitzvah Circle Foundation has joined in partnership with the Kathryn R. Tyler Neighborhood Center, as we both believe in supporting families — especially during tough times.

To support this partnership, we need you! Whether you can contribute one item or ten, your help makes a difference! The families who live in the Glenville Neighborhood are in great need even in the best of times. Mitzvah Circle helps the Neighborhood Center year-round by providing office supplies, clothing for infants and young children, baby supplies, preschool toys and equipment, board games, sports & playground equipment. We support the Neighborhood Center in the summer by providing camp supplies, sidewalk chalk and outdoor toys. In the fall, we collect and send back-to-school items, art supplies, warm outdoor clothing, school shoes, snow boots, gloves and hats.

By sending these items, we help the Kathryn R. Tyler Neighborhood Center to provide children access to alternative activities year round. This keeps them safe and productive which helps them grow toward a successful future. It also assists their parents and grandparents who are raising them to give them a happy, healthy childhood and make their future brighter.

What can you do right now? Give back-to-school items such as new school supplies, backpacks, hats and gloves, warm outdoor clothing so the families can be ready for winter. Give gift cards — the most useful cards for the needed items are cards from Payless and Target. Giving gift cards makes it easy for parents to buy these essential items for their children.

We at Mitzvah Circle are committed to helping the most vulnerable people in every community. Please support our partnership with The Kathryn R. Tyler Neighborhood Center and watch for some new partners in Arkansas and California! We need volunteers like you everyday all across America. Help us help others.
