Do you spend a few dollars on a cup of coffee or tea once a week or more? Could you spare the cost of one cup and donate it to Mitzvah Circle Foundation?
Our Food Project feeds hungry people 52 weeks a year. Each week, we rescue up to half a ton of baked goods and distribute them to food pantries, community centers, and directly to people in need. We're very fortunate to be able to help people who are struggling to pay their bills and feed their families. But we need your help!
The food we rescue and distribute is not enough. Your financial contributions can make a big difference — like the difference for a senior citizen between buying food or medicine, or the difference for a single mother between feeding her kids or avoiding getting evicted from her apartment.
With your support, we can provide food to that senior citizen and to that single mother, and keep them from having to make a difficult decision. We can provide a food basket to a family in crisis. We can provide food and gifts so a family can enjoy a holiday celebration they otherwise would have been forced to skip.
To do all this, we started the Mitzvah Circle Foundation Coffee Club. So many of us spend $3 on a cup of coffee or tea without even thinking about it. But if you can donate the cost of one cup to Mitzvah Circle Foundation Coffee Club, together we can make a big difference in the lives of people who need help. Even if you do this just one time, you will help.
If you can do this monthly or weekly, that's even better! If you can get friends, family members, neighbors, or co-workers to join you, the cumulative effect can be huge!
As you can see in the chart below, even one person donating the cost of just a single cup of coffee or tea per week provides $156 for Mitzvah Circle Foundation to help someone. Get four others to join you and the $780 in donations we receive will go a long way. If you get nine other people to do the same thing, that's over $1,500 in donations — imagine how many people we can help with that!
(Please note that our numbers are based on a $3 cup of coffee or tea, which seems to be the average price at certain “name brand” coffee shops.)
We're not asking for a large monetary donation here (although those are graciously accepted as well!). We just ask that you consider making a small contribution, get some others to join you to multiply the effect, and watch the significant impact your donations will make in the lives of others.
