Adopt-a-Soldier Program

Mitzvah Circle's Adopt-a-Soldier Project supports members in all branches of the U.S Military.

three wise men

It is difficult to imagine what it feels like to be an American soldier in Iraq or Afghanistan. However, right now, we have young men and women in these countries defending the United States and fighting for the freedom of people who live a world away. The work they do is grueling. Their perseverance is an inspiration.

In Iraq, our soldiers carry 50-80 lbs of body armor, wearing gloves and helmets in 120 degree heat all day every day. They walk though sand dunes in the middle of the night and spend many days in remote areas of the desert.

In Afghanistan, our soldiers work in intensely hot summers and harsh, cold winters in a terrain that is mountainous and unforgiving. In both countries, they frequently do not have access to showers or personal items that, at home, we take for granted.

We created the Adopt-a-Soldier program to provide our soldiers with essential supplies they are currently lacking. We collect personal supplies, non-perishable food and snack items, pictures and personal letters, and more. We package these items and ship them overseas to our soldiers.

Mitzvah Circle wants to continue to support our courageous and dedicated American soldiers, who are stationed in isolated areas and war zones. We are forever grateful for the privilege to connect with our soldiers far from home and anxiously await their safe return. Our partnerships with our adopted soldiers have changed lives.
